There is nothing I love more than exploring the phenomenal cafés that Montreal has to offer. For that reason, I was very eager to work on this project. The goal was to rebrand Dispatch Coffee, a beloved Montreal-based coffee shop that prides itself on its ethical coffee beans and its bike delivery service.
The logo is a nod to the word “Dispatch”, as the letters in the square are being dispatched (you get it). The green logo reflects the company’s ecological values. To accompany the logo, I drew 4 different characters that would be incorporated in Dispatch’s brand identity. They are caricatures of different types of Montrealers. Le Hipster, La Maman, Le Skater and La Sportive.
This project really pushed me to think outside the box. Since Montreal has so many well branded coffee shops, I challenged myself to create a brand identity that has a unique personality and voice. Incorporating drawings and humor was my way of bringing a more personal touch to the project.
